Q: What can I expect from a typical therapy session?

A: There is no typical therapy session.  Due to the collaborative nature of your session, each session may look different.  Your therapist will utilize several different treatment methods to help you achieve the goals you have set for yourself.
Q: Should I see a therapist?

A:  Every one of us is human and we all have our bad days, our faults, and our own emotional baggage from past traumatic events. It is our belief that everyone can benefit from therapy. Being in therapy does not make someone bad, or weak, or crazy.  In fact, it often means they're a brave person getting stronger!

People enter into therapy for a variety of reasons.  Some are faced with unexpected life changes that can leave them feeling unbalanced.  During these times, one's ability to cope is diminished.  Having an unbiased therapist can help clients examine not only what has occurred, but how they have been impacted by this change.  This often leads a client through the process of self exploration and personal growth.  

Therapy can provide the necessary support as clients learn to cope better and find new solutions.
Q: Can I use my insurance to pay for therapy?

A: Our therapists cannot accept insurance directly at this time, as it legally restricts them from offering clients an ability-to-pay rate.

However, you may file a claim directly with your insurance carrier to obtain reimbursement after paying out of pocket. Your therapist will work with you at no extra charge to ensure you have all the necessary documentation to file your claim.

Since your Sunny Side Up therapist will be out-of-network for your insurance carrier, you will need to check with your plan provider to learn the details of out-of-network reimbursement. You should also ask about licensure restrictions.
